Willow

PLEASE READ, NOT JUST LOOK AT HER PICTURES. WILLOW NEEDS A VERY PARTICULAR HOME AND WE WILL BE VERY SELECTIVE SO THAT SHE IS SET UP FOR SUCCESS.
Willow is a one year old petite girl that is looking for a patient and understanding forever home. She is very sweet and would not hurt anyone, but she is a fearful girl that needs a home that will take the time to help her gain confidence. She loves to play with her foster brother and can play for hours – so she will benefit from having a confident canine playmate her own size that can help her learn the ropes. She is mostly housebroken but will have an accident if she gets overly fearful. She is a very interested in outdoor kitties – but she lived with an inside cat in her previous home so a dog savvy cat might be ok. With her fearful issues, a quiet home without children and a fenced yard that is attached to the home is required. She is learning to walk on a leash and learning that pulling or darting is not proper dog behavior. She will benefit from obedience training that involves positive reinforcement or clicker training. She is definitely more fearful of men than women so for any males in the household, it will take extra time and patience for her to bond to them.

Once she starts to trust you, she is extremely sweet and loving and loves to cuddle on the couch with you. It just takes time to get to that point. Since she is still considered a puppy – expect typical puppy behavior ( she can get a little mouthy with playing) and silly antics like running through the house with your socks or shoes to get your attention.
