This almost 6-year old, super stunningly handsome boy is Axel. He’s enjoys giving nose kisses and being a part-time big game hunter (stuffed moose, teddy bears and happy hippos are his favorite toys). You can just see the smile on Axel’s face when he wakes up and comes to greet you with a big smooch. What a perfect way to start the day!!
Axel is an owner surrender due to not enough time for him with a new baby in the house. He loves other dogs, kids and even tolerates cats. Axel would enjoy a running partner, hiking buddy or possibly learning agility.
He’s completed a week of extensive obedience training and has mastered sit, stay, give paw and walks great on a leash. Axel also has great recall and can be taken off-leash for hiking or romps at the dog park. He is housebroken, crate trained and can be trusted to not tear up anything in the house if left alone.
A little shy sometimes with humans in public, Axel openly welcomes new people into his home. If you’re an active household with a fenced yard (Axel does not respond to underground/electric fencing) who enjoys a wet nose every now and then, Axel is your guy. If you have a canine companion for Axel, that would be even better!
