Miss Kelsey is a beautiful young dobie girl, almost 2 years old. She came to BDR because of circumstances that have changed with her family that they felt they could not care for Kelsey like she needed. Still very energetic like a puppy but settling down like a young adult.
Kelsey is house and crate trained but prefers to be by your side instead of in a crate. Kelsey lived with an older female dog and cat and has been doing fantastic getting to know her new foster family. Living with male and female Dobermans as well as a house full of kitties. Inside cats are no big deal but if one gets outside then they are considered as much fun to chase as a squirrel.
Kelsey loves to chase balls and take walks. She could use a few leash manners but doesn’t do too bad.
From what we have seen we believe Kelsey would benefit from some obedience training and would probably very much enjoy doing agility.
Kelsey can be a bit cautious with new people when she firsts meets them but warms up quickly especially if you have a tasty treat. Since she has never been around children we will not be placing Kelsey in a home with young kids.
Kelsey will also need a home that has a physically fence in yard.
