Atticus was found as a stray in South Carolina & made his way to Louisville in January. He is heartworm positive but will complete treatment at the end of March. Due to heartworms, he is currently resting & does very well in his crate. Once he is allowed to, he would love to play with other dogs, large & small. He currently lives with a miniature dachshund & willingly shares chew toys & crate space with the much smaller dog.
Atticus loves tennis balls & a Gorilla chew. He sits nicely to be loved on & will continue to love on you for hours. He is likely 1-2 years old, still somewhat puppyish in behaviors. He is crate trained & responds to voice commands (“come”, “sit”). He still needs some training on how to be gentle & reminders to pee outside the house. His big deep bark is great to remind people that your house is well-guarded.
