Goldie was a stray found by a family last winter, they tried with no success in finding her owner. Although she was fine with all their other dogs they decided they did not want another dog to care for full time so they contacted rescue.
We believe Goldie to be around 4 to 5 years old, she is very shy but does learn to trust you. She is friendly with all other dogs and cats. We have not had her around children but small kids will not be recommended only because she needs a quiet environment.
Like most of these shy dogs, Goldie will need a home with doggy companionship. She doesn’t necessarily play with other dogs (yet) but she feels more confident with them around.
Goldie is house and crate trained. We have not taken her out too many places but when she is out she is fine with everyone she meets, just a bit cautious at first.
Goldie is searching for a family that will take the time for her to get comfortable and to work with her slight fears. She has only been with us a short while and already showing signs of being a perfect dobie girl!
Goldie will need a home with a physically fenced in yard. We will not consider any adoptions to a home without a fence or with invisible fence.
