Natalie joined BDR for a quite disturbing reason. She was a stray in a shelter and was set to be euthanized because she was too skinny to spay and put on the adoption floor. That was an unacceptable reason for so many of us we knew she had to make the long trip to our rescue. The reason she was so thin? She’s young and no one fed her enough. No medical issues, just neglect.
Natalie is a happy dobie pup with a zest for life. We estimate her to be around a year old. She gets along great with other dogs, provided they can deal with her boundless energy. She’s ok with kitties but they can be fun (on her part only) to chase.
Natalie will need to be in a home with another dog because she is still learning to be a dog and takes comfort in a K9 friend. A physical fence is an absolute requirement, no exceptions. Since Natalie didn’t seem to have a great puppyhood she is still learning manners. She will “puppy nip” and doesn’t know boundaries around people. For this reason she will do best in a family with older children.
If you are looking for a beautiful fawn girl with lots of love to give, this may be the one you have been searching for. Keep in mind she will need lots of structure and training.
